![]() ![]() The DownloadHelper site states that once "Safe Mode" is activated, it can not be deactivated (and this is annoying because "Safe Mode" not only prevents downloading "Adult-content" material, but actually blocks YouTube from letting it be seen at all).Home › Browsers › Firefox › Video DownloadHelper not Working in Firefox: 3 Ways to Fix itĪre you trying to use the Video DownlooadHelper extension on Firefox to download videos but it’s not working? (I am the only person who uses this machine, which is inside my residence, and do not provide access it to anyone, especially children.) ![]() I wanted to view and download a certain music video on YouTube, only to find that access to it was being blocked by "Safe Mode." This was odd, both since I am quite old enough (many would probably say too old) to access just about anything on line!, and because I am sure that I never turned it on to begin with. ![]() I believe I installed this one at about the same time that I installed the basic browser, but never tried to use it until this afternoon. (That is the full list of add ons currently installed and I have not installed and then removed any others.)Īs noted in my title, the problem is with DownloadHelper. Since the time when I installed the browser, I have added several of their add ons: AdBlock Plus, BetterPrivacy, DownloadHelper, IMTranslator, and NoScript. I installed Firefox a couple of months ago (after finding that IE would no longer display many of my e-mails - yahoo mail - with a line length that would fit on the screen), and am still not really comfortable with it. I hope someone will be able to help with this. ![]()
